MUSIC
Music has occupied much of my life, in both consumption as well as composition. Picked up my first bass in high school in 1990, and eventually figured it out. I think the first song I could play was “Mickey Mouse Is Dead”, by Subhumans. While I’ve replaced parts, I still have my first bass here, and it sounds better than ever.
Life and career got in the way for quite a while, but after achieving home ownership, I decided to take the plunge and form my own project and gather a lineup in 2008. At that point, HadesMachine was formed, and after a couple failed singer try-outs, I ended up taking on vocals, in addition to writing and composing all the material. Over the course of this adventure, I’ve written upwards of 80 songs, released an album, two EPs, and several singles, under that moniker. For the curious, you can find my releases on Spotify.
Over the course of putting creating this music, I’ve increased my knowledge and capability in recording, mixing, and editing audio. On occasion I will record bands or solo musicians in my home studio, the latest including Odachi, and Eve’s Black Heart.
While having participated in other projects, I presently am on bass full time for Having Issues, and front HadesMachine. I’ve had the pleasure of providing guitar and bass fill-ins on tours for The B Movie Monsters in 2016, and Evelyn’s Casket in 2024.
